Orientation

A two and a half hour orientation helps the candidate understand the characteristics of the non-profit sector and how CentrePoint and the Volunteer support capacity building.

Orientations happen three times a year, based on need. Meet your peers and learn more about your new role.

5:00 – 5:10 pm Welcome, CentrePoint Video
5:10 – 5:20 pm Introduction of Participants and Expectations
5:20 – 5:50 pm Introduction to the Non-Profit Sector, pre-reading handout “The Nonprofit/Voluntary Sector Adds Real Value for Albertans. Reflection and discussion
5:50 – 6:20 pm Who We Are – An introduction to CentrePoint, our Sustainability Model, how we respond to needs of the non-profit sector
6:20 – 7:30 pm Our Consulting Process and how volunteers fit, resources to support you in Your Role as a Volunteer Management Consultant
