Retirement Announcement of

Alexander B. (Sandy) McArthur

It is a tangible pleasure to advise that on October 5, 2010, my 10th Anniversary as President & CEO of CentrePoint, I plan to retire - "It has been quite a ride".

The past 10 years have seen the need for the non-profit sector to focus on enhanced business solutions.  Consequently, the growth of CentrePoint has been unprecedented.

When I first began, CentrePoint was an organization focused upon facilitating matches between volunteer consultants and non-profit organizations.  CentrePoint has grown and flourished over the past 10 years, providing services to over 450 individual charitable and non-profit organizations and touching literally thousands of individuals who work or volunteer within the sector.

Today with staff of 11, 9 Managers of Consulting and access to over 500 Volunteer Management Consultants and 14 PLUS Programs under our belt, CentrePoint is a nationally recognized Business Solution Organization.

The path forward for CentrePoint will continue to see it increasingly called upon to meet the needs of the non-profit sector.  Through continuing with strong partnerships and collaborations, CentrePoint will build on its role as a capacity builder in Alberta.

To all those I have had the privilege to know and work with over the past 10 years, including Clients, Funders, Staff, Board Members and Community Leaders, I say "Thanks and All the Best in the years ahead".
