Consulting - The Core of The HR PLUS Edge
- Participants will have 75 hours over 8 months to work with your consultant
- Consultants will be carefully matched to your needs and requirements
- Work with your consultant to assess your HR strengths and weaknesses
- The consultant will create a work plan for the 75 hours describing what targeted areas of HR you want addressed, including the development or revision of an HR Strategy.
E-Learning - Learn Your Way on Your Schedule
1. Customize your learning in terms of content, level of detail and total time commitment. Your consultant will help you develop personalized learning plan(s).
2. Access e-training:
- Strategic Human Resources to develop a foundational knowledge in the fundamentals of HR Strategy
- Recruitment, Selection and Retention to learn the basics of attracting the right people to accomplish your mission.
3. On-line access to world class management materials through Harvard Management Mentor available to 2 people per agency. The Harvard materials cover 42 topics and these specific HR topics:
- Change Management
- Coaching
- Developing Employees
- Dismissing an Employee
- Feedback Essentials
- Goal Setting
- Hiring
- Laying off Employees
- New Manager Transitions
- Performance Appraisal
- Performance Measurement
- Retaining Employees
- Stress Management
- Team Leadership
- Virtual Teams
4. HR Council Toolkit provides practical tools and enables participants to apply HR concepts.
Peer Support through Google Group
Interact with your HR PLUS Edge colleagues through Google Group. Find out how other non- profits handle their HR challenges. Share your ideas and experience. Ask for information and help.
